GB Council rule on junior national transfers

The ELA have announced new rules governing the transfer of any players from the National and Regional Centex programs to another national team. In a statement issued by the GB Council – a governing body for the women’s game in the UK – rules and regulations were laid out for any player wishing to transfer from the junior England training program to another national team.

Currently the ruling only applies to players at a junior level, however it is likely that, in the lead up to the Senior World Cup in 2013 and the Senior European Championships in 2012, similar guidelines will be applied to those training and playing with the elite level squad.

These rulings come into effect on August 1 of this year.
