Lacrosse may still be relatively new to most people (“wasn’t it in American Pie?”), but it has a devoted following across the world. With roots in the Native American Iroquois tribe, the modern game of lacrosse is fast, fun, physical and can be enjoyed by anyone interested in a dynamic, competitive sport.
The Emirates Lacrosse League (ELL) is proud to bring the first competitive lacrosse league for men, women, boys and girls to the United Arab Emirates! Already in our first term, the league is running full training sessions in Dubai and developing interest in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
The beginning of 2017 marks a major milestone for the ELL, with the international team taking on our gulf neighbour, Qatar Lacrosse. A group of 15 adults per side will be heading to the pitch for Mens, Womens and Mixed games. Come and see the match in February and cheer us on!
Next term we also have plans to relaunch our youth programme for 8 to 16 year olds, starting in January. Our goal is to build the skills of the next generation, and the most dedicated players can look forward to top positions in club teams. We are proud to already have one of our members joining a college NCAA programme in the USA. To help build our growing youth team however we are urgently looking for coaches. If you have an interest in developing our younger players please get in touch. Experience is not an issue, and training can be provided by the ELL.
Whether you’re an experienced player or an interested beginner, we are happy to have you on board. Come down to one of our regular training sessions, pick up a stick, and see what all the excitement is about.

I am currently here in UAE. For the next 4 months we are a big lacrosse family from Delaware Ohio. My son plays and my wife and started a girls lacrosse program where we have 150 girls who play. I would love to come see a practice or a scrimmage as I will be missing the season this year. I was also wondering if I could purchase a t shirt from your program. Thanks for any info you may have. Good luck with your program and season
